Dave Bondy

Dave Bondy is a reporter for WPXI in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Bondy previously reported for FOX station WBRC-TV in Birmingham, Alabama; WNEM-TV Saginaw/Flint, MI; WUPW FOX TOLEDO, OH; WECT-TV NBC Wilmington, NC; WEVV-TV Evansville, Indiana.

Dave Bondy appeared in the Michael Moore documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. The film used a clip of Dave Bondy doing a news report on local response to terrorism. Bondy has expressed strong disapproval of usage of his likeness without permission in the film. He wanted to pursue legal action against Moore, but an attorney advised that a legal battle would be too costly.

While at WNEM TV in Flint/Saginaw, MI Bondy uncovered registered sex offenders that were using social networking sites to lure teenagers. Due to Bondy's investigation several sex offenders were sent back to prison for violating parole.

Bondy has covered everything from hurricanes in North Carolina to the aftermath of a tornado in Enterprise, Alabama that killed eight students. Bondy also covered the Samson, Alabama mass shooting that killed ten people.

In February 2010 Bondy was hired by WPXI TV, the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as the Washington, Fayette and Greene County field reporter.

In April 2010 Bondy covered the Upper Big Branch mine disaster that killed 29 miners.
